One of our most popular offerings, The Indian Culinary Experience is designed to give our international guests an opportunity to learn about, and experience (sort of like a primer) home-style Indian dining. In India guests are considered God and our sessions follow just how a guest would be honored in an Indian home, from the moment they step in, until they leave. Food is served along with stories and explanations behind each tradition and practice. Things start with a warm welcome and introductions over Chai Nashta (tea and snacks) in which our instructor takes guests through the concept of Indian snacks from around the country over a tasting platter and a cup of good old chai. Fortified with this, guests embark on an interactive session through which they understand the flavor profile of Indian cuisine, masala (Indian Spices and spice mixes), the concept of the Thaali (Indian Meal), a cooking session. Finally guests will sit down to a home-style Indian meal. The session ends on a sweet note with a mithai platter, in which the guests are treated to a discovery of Indian sweets.
