If you are a food lover of any sort, chances are you have heard of Saee Koranne Khandekar. A writer and consultant since 2008, Saee blogs at www.myjhola.in and also runs a YouTube food channel that specializes in aesthetic food cinematography. Saee has also been a valued instructor at APB Cook Studio since its inception. Read this post on her here.
So when her first book was published, we were very excited! We were also honored to help kickstart her publicity campaign.
On the Tuesday, 3rd 2016 APB Cook Studio hosted a fun media launch where members of the food press got down and dirty to actually make Foccacia taught by Saee for themselves. Then as the Foccacia baked in our ovens and the room filled with that beautiful aroma for bread baking, we played a video about Saee’s book followed by a lovely reading of stories around her memories and discoveries of bread. Then came a spread of breads and accompaniments from the book made by the APB team such as Foccacia, Kheema Pav, Pav Bhaji, Thalipeeth Canapés, Mushroom Topping Bruschetta, Tomato Topping Bruschetta and Bread Pudding.
The launch event ended on a heartwarming note with the members taking breads made by themselves home.
But APB was not done yet. That same afternoon we hosted the APB Food Book Club monthly event. There was a launch for media and bloggers and same day in the evening there was an official launch and an exclusive First Look at this wonderful book for the APB Food Book Club members! APB Food Book Club members were actually the first in the world to see the book! The event itself began with an unveiling of the book by Rushina M. Ghildiyal. The next session was a Q&A session between eminent food writer Vikram Doctor. and Saee in which topics from the book to the bread industry were touched upon. Then Saee read excerpts from her book and demonstrated Thalipeeth and Poi from her book. Members bought books and lined up to have them signed by Saee.
